A nested set of three bowls made from a single piece of beautifully figured Herefordshire apple wood. If the bowls are aligned correctly, you can see the grain patterns running through all three.
Turning nests of bowls on a pole lathe has taken me 5 years to learn. Along the way i had to learn to make the special tools required and also master how to use them. As far as I am aware, I am one of only 5 people in the world with the ability to turn nests of bowls like these.
Turned on a pole lathe from Spalted Beech and finished with Cold Pressed Linseed oil and natural beeswax
